Applicants are required to map the completed coursework to the core competencies, ensuring the candidate has completed education or taught coursework in each AFC core competency.<\/p><p>Applicants will submit an <a href=\"https:\/\/afcpe.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Financial-Education-Challenge-Application-Fillable.pdf\">application form<\/a> documenting coursework from a regionally accredited college or university in personal finance, financial planning, financial counseling, consumer sciences or another comparable discipline including which course(s) specifically meet each outlined competency, and:<\/p><p>If the course was taken as a student:<\/p><ul><li>Transcript (official or unofficial) required showing completion of coursework with a passing grade.<\/li><\/ul><p>If the course was taught as a professor:<\/p><ul><li>Syllabus detailing course content<\/li><li>Experience Verification Form signed by Department Chair validating claim<\/li><\/ul><p>We will review your transcript and process your application within 30 business days. Once we determine whether the educational requirement has been fulfilled, we\u2019ll send you written notification with instructions on next steps.\u00a0<\/p><p>Coursework must be no older than 7-years to qualify for the Financial Education Challenge pathway. If coursework is older than 7-years, you may still qualify if you have been working full-time in the financial services field for at least 4 of the last 7-years or part-time in the financial services field for at least five of the last 7-years (validated through an Experience Verification Form).\u00a0<\/p><p>Please see the <a
